Fake relatives claim ex-gratia amount in MP

Guna, MP, July 13: A fraud case has been registered against a couple for claiming the ex-gratia amount by posing as relatives of dead passengers of a railway accident.

Superintendent of Police Yogesh Choudhary said Baldhari Singh Yadav and R P Yadav had died when the Bundelkhand Express had met an accident at Datia town in 2005.

Rampal Yadav and his wife Gomti presented the claim for the ex-gratia describing the deceased as their close relative.

On smelling a rat, the Railway got the matter investigated by the crime branch of the Madhya Pradesh Government.
