New Delhi, July 13 (UNI) The Delhi High ourt today issued notices to Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss and to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to explain the allegations levelled by AIIMS Director P Venugopal regarding the minister's intervention in the day-to-day affairs of the premier health institutionadminstration.

Justice Anil Kumar issued a notice for September 7, on an application filed by the Dr Venugopal, stating that AIIMS was an autonomous body, and that the minister was exceeding his jurisdiction to interfere in the day-to-day affairs of the AIIMS administration and paralysing the work.

A continuous rift between the Health Minister and the AIIMS Director has been going on for the last several months. Mr Ramadoss had earlier ordered the removal of Dr Venugopal from AIIMS, which the court did not allow.

Later, allegations of financial bunglings were levelled against Dr Venugopal. He has moved the court alleging that the intervention by the minister in the AIIMS affairs is causing disruption of work.
