CM asks officers to take quick action on his announcements

Chandigarh, July 13 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has given strict instructions to the officers to submit the feasibility or non-feasibility report of the announcements made by him within one month so that timely and appropriate action could be taken on them.

The Chief Minister issued these directions in a review meeting convened by him here late last evening to monitor the progress of work on the announcements made on the demand of people.

He said such a report should be submitted to the concerned Commissioner which would enable the government to take subsequent steps.

Giving directions to the Board officers, he stressed upon the need for completing the work on the announcements in a time bound manner as strengthening of infrastructure for the convenience of farmers was the top most priority of the present government. Mr Hooda also instructed the officers to avoid any delay in work in which no physical work was involved, such as issuing of the notification and change of name. The main issues reviewed in the meeting included construction and repair of roads, setting up of purchase centres and opening up of new mandis.

He said that once the announcements were made, it became the responsibility of the concerned department to ensure the completion of work on them speedily.

Mr Hooda specifically asked for the time needed to complete each of the projects. He directed the officers to monitor and check even those projects which had already been commissioned to find out that they were in order and functioning properly.

He instructed them to ensure that no complaint was received regarding the commissioned projects while focusing their attention to timely complete the ongoing projects.

The Chief Minister during his visits to various villages and constituencies hears the grievances of the public and on their demand makes announcements for development works to facilitate the public.
