Close aide to dreaded gangster Kishan Pahelwal arrested

New Delhi, July 13 (UNI) Delhi Police have arrested an aide to the dreaded gangster Kishan Pahelwan from near Nazafgarh in South-West Delhi.

Based on a tip-off, the police arrested Yatender Kumar alias Data Ram and his accomplice Rajpal on July 11 when he was going to Najafgarh to meet Bharat Singh, the brother of Kishan Pahelwan.

The interrogation of Data Ram, who has been associated with Kishan Pahelwan for the last 10 years, revealed that he was arrested in 1998 along with Kishan Pahelwan.

Since then, he has been in regular contact with Bharat Singh and running their business through mobile phone.

Data Ram is a proclaimed offender in many cases of crime in Delhi and one in Jaipur.

One country made pistol has been recovered from Data Ram while a button-executed knife was recovered from Rajpal.

Further investigation is in progress. Rajasthan and Haryana police has been informed accordingly.
