Allahabad, July 13 (UNI) Opposing the proposed sex education, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today the move was improper in the Indian social context.

''The move should be opposed as the sex education curriculum would disturb the social environment of the country,'' senior BJP leader and former union minister Murli Manohar Joshi told mediapersons here.

''Sex eduction should be restricted till biology only. Its incorrect and meaningless to render information about sex and condoms to children. It would end up nothing, but disturb the development of child's mind,'' Mr Joshi observed.

The chapters are proposed to be included in the institutions affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education.

''This topic should be consulted with Indian scholars, who could better frame the chapters on sex education, keeping the country's culture and customs,'' he noted.

The BJP leader added every country has its own tradition and cultural values and efforts ought to be made to maintain the same and not ruining it in the name of campaign against AIDS.

He lambasted the multinational companies who are ''pressurising'' and ''luring'' the union government to start sex education in schools for boosting the sales of condoms and other sex devices manufactured by them.
