Balaji launches first muslim social drama on Sony

Mumbai, July 13 (UNI) Balaji Telefilms and Ekta Kapoor's first muslim social drama ''Khwaish'' will go on air on Sony Entertainment Television from July 16.

Shot in Dubai, the story is about two Indian Muslim families settled in the desert city. The daily soap will be telecast at 1930 hrs.

Speaking at the launch earlier this week, Balaji creative head Nivedita Basu said the protagonist is a young girl Afreen (Priya Ashok Bathija), who can never see others in pain, Afreen is very supportive to her family and is looked upon as the 'son' to her father and her family.

Khwaish is about the grit and determination of young Afreen who only wished happiness for everyone and love for herself, but destiny had planned otherwise. This Balaji soap is directed by Muzzamil.
