8 IPS among 37 police officers transferred in Punjab
Chandigarh, July 13 (UNI) In a major police reshuffle, the Punjab government today transfered 37 police officers, including eight senior IPS officers.
Mr Harpreet Singh Sidhu (IPS), who has returned from abroad after a training programme, has been apppointed DIG (Admn) while Gaurav Yadav (IPS) has been posted DIG (Intelligence) on return from deputation to Chandigarh administration.
Mr Yadav replaces Arun Kumar Oran who has now become DIG (Computers and Telecommunications). Kuldeep Singh (IPS), who was on leave, has become DIG/PAP-II and Training.
Mr K J S Pannu (IPS) has now become DIG (Community Policing) and NRI affairs while Mr Tejinderpal Singh (IPS) has been posted Commandant 27th Bn PAP, Jalandhar.
Dr Naresh Kumar (IPS) has been made SP (Intelligence Wing) while Mr Ashish Chaudhary (IPS) has become SP (Det) Ropar.
