Vigilance submits chargesheet in BPSC exam scam

Patna, July 12 (UNI) Bihar State Vigilance Bureau today submitted a chargesheet against 12 people in the case of irregularities committed in limited competitive examination-2003 conducted by Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC).

The chargesheet was submitted in the court of special vigilance judge S K Panwar under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Prevention of Corruption Act.

Earlier, the Bureau had submitted chargsheet in the case against 17 people, including the then chairman of BPSC Dr Ram Singhasan Singh.

Meanwhile, another vigilance judge S P N Singh turned down the anticipatory bail plea of three accused in a case relating to illegal appointment of teaching and non-teaching staff in Jamalpur Evening College in Munger district during 1969 to 1985.

The then principal of the college Parmanand Prasad, the then sub-divisional officer of Munger Rabindra Kumar Mishra and Professor Sashi Bhushan Prasad were among the accused who were denied bail.
