Road mishap kills 4 in UP

Sitapur, July 12 (UNI) At least four people, including two children, were killed after a speeding motorcycle, they were travelling on, collided head-on with a truck here today.

The mishap took place on the Lucknow-Delhi National Highway, where two vehicles dashed against each other, killing the four instantly.

The deceased were identified as Phool Chand (21), his kin Suman (25), her two daughters Vidhyanshi (5) and Rajni.

Irked over the incident, an agitated mob of people blocked the Lucknow-Delhi National Highway, leading to traffic snarls for couple of hours.

The mob could only be pacified after senior officials reached the spot, police said.
