Allahabad, July 12 (UNI) Almost 40,000 daily wage employees of the Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) have decided to launch a 90 day statewide 'dhyanakarshan' (draw attention) movement from July 25 for regularising their services.

Talking to newspersons here today, PWD workers' federation's working president Ramakant Bajpai said, the then Chief Minister Mayawati's cabinet in 1997 had decided to regularise the employees, who had been working for the last 10 yrs.

Unfortunately, the decision of the cabinet had not yet been implemented.

Mr Bajpai said during their 90 day movement, the employees will organise 1,000 meetings at block and tehsil level and will handover the memoranda to the state CM and PWD Minister to draw their attention.
