KRS full, people on banks of Cauvery cautioned

Mysore, July 12 (UNI) The K R Sagar dam across river Cauvery near here has touched its brim following heavy inflows from its catchment areas of Kodagu and Hassan districts.

The level touched 124 feet against the full level of 124.8 ft tonight.

Authorities issued a fresh warning for people living on the banks of the river in downstream of the river as more than 29,000 cusecs of water had been released to the river from the reservoir.

The inflow was at 47,000 cusecs.

The authorities cautioned people living on the banks that more water was likely to be released any time.
