Jaya criticises DMK's decision to annul coop society polls

Chennai, July 11 (UNI) AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa today said the ruling DMK's decision to annul the elections held so far to all cooperative societies stating that the decision showed the DMK's acceptance of 'irregularities' in the election.

In a statement here, Ms Jaya said the DMK had decided to declare the elections invalid fearing 'harsh stand' and massive protest from its own allies.

She alleged that the ruling DMK very clearly knows that its party cadres had played a significant role in making the elections a ''massive fraud''.

Ms Jaya also alleged that police and the officials concerned were being misused by the DMK for its personal gains.

People had also understood this, she said and added that they should teach the DMK government a lesson.
