Jalandhar industrialists submit demands to Kalia

Chandigarh, July 12 (UNI) A deputation of Jalandhar Chamber of Industries and Commerce today called on Punjab Industries Minister Manoranjan Kalia and submitted a charter of demands.

Responding on their demands, Mr Kalia said that General Managers at District Industry Centers would hold meeting once in a month to educate the Industrialists regarding schemes and polices of industries department and facilities being provided by the government for Industrialists.

Mr Kalia said all the quality marketing centers in the state would be upgraded with necessary infrastructure regarding single window clearance at district level.

The minister said that Industrial facilitation Act has been framed and after its approval, a single window committee would be set up headed by the respective Deputy Commissioners who would clear cases and if the industrialists were not satisfied then they could approach the state-level committee.

In response to the demands of notification of Master plan for Jalandhar, the Minister said that the plan was in pipeline and suggestion and objections would be taken before giving it final touch.

Mr Kalia assured the Industrialists that their remaining demands would be cleared after discussing with Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
