Mumbai, July 12 (UNI) Renowned ghazal singer Jagjit Singh and Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota launched the music of the forthcoming film 'Kahani Gudiya Ki', based on a true life story, here today.

This is for the first time after 15 years that ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh has rendered three songs in a film.

Addressing mediapersons, Jagjit Singh said ''Nowadays in films you cannot make out where is the rhythm and where are the lyrics.

First they make tunes and then the lyrics to suit the tunes. But in this film every song is in its place and all three songs that I have rendered are my favourites.'' The starcast of the film includes Seema Biswas, Arif Zakaria, Divya Dutta, Rajpal Yadav and Akhilendra Mishra.

The film is directed by ad filmmaker Prabhakar Shukla, lyrics are by Madan Pal and choreography is by Saroj Khan.

''Kahani Gudiya Ki'' is based on a true life incident of a woman named Gudiya, married to an army personnel, who had to leave for Kargil war just after a week of his marriage.
