Five injured in clash between CPM supporters in East Midnapore

Dantan, July 11 (UNI) Altogether five persons were seriously injured here in a clash between two groups of CPM supporters this evening, police said.

The two group were led by Anil Patnaik and Aloke Nandi who had been expelled from the party by District CPM secretary Dipak Sarkar.

All the injured were supporters of Patnaik, Dantan Police Station officer-in-charge Ramen Singha said.

Six supporters of Aloke Nandi group were arrested.

Both groups clashed with sticks and brick bats, Singha said.
