Congress urges for relief to rain affected islanders

Port Blair, July 12 (UNI) The Congress party today demanded relief to the rain affected villagers of middle and North Andaman.

Congress president Kuldeep Rai Sharma in a letter to the chief secretary urged him to ensure distribution of essentials to the affected villagers as recent rains damaged many homes of middle and north Andaman.

Nearly 14 villages of Rangat area of middle Andaman and 3 villages of Diglipur area were affected by the rains.

However, there was no report of any casualty.
