Centre sanctions Rs 38.94 crore to Tripura

Agartala, July 12: The Union Rural Development ministry has sanctioned grant-in-aid of Rs 38.94 lakh to all four District Rural Development Agencies (DRDA) of Tripura.

The aid was towards balance payment of first installment of Central share for the year 2007-08, official sources here today said.

The ratio of Central to state share was 75:25, they added.

The utilisation of funds and the release of second installment during 2006-07 was as per DRDA guidelines, officials stated.
