Centre sanctions funds to TN, Asom, Nagaland, Goa for SGSY

New Delhi, July 12 (UNI) The centre has released funds to Tamil Nadu, Asom, Goa and Nagaland for implementation of the Swarnjayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana.

The Ministry of Rural Development has released payment of of Rs.

26.46 crore to 29 districts of Tamil Nadu for implementation of SGSY during 2007-2008.

An amount of Rs 2.39 crore as Grant-in- aid has been sanctioned by the Ministry to 26 districts of Asom towards balance payment of first instalment of Central share for the year.

Grant-in-aid amounting to Rs 1.14 crore has been released to eleven districts of Nagaland towards Balance Payment of first instalment of Central Share of funds under SGSY.

Goa received grant-in- aid amounting to Rs 21.97 lakh for its two districts towards balance payment of first instalment of Central share.
