Centre approves Rs 103 cr sewerage scheme for Faridabad

Chandigarh, 12 July (UNI) The Union Ministry of Urban Local Bodies has approved a Rs 103.83 crore scheme for revamping of sewerage system and sewerage treatment works in Faridabad.

An official spokesman said that of the total sanctioned amount, Rs 51.915 crore was the central share, Rs 20.77 crore state share and Rs 31.545 crore was Faridabad Municipal Corporation's share.

He also said the Centre had released the first installment of Rs 5.19 crore and Rs 2.08 crore as state share to Municipal Corporation, Faridabad.

He said that according to the Detailed Project Report submitted to the Centre, a sum of Rs 733.90 crore was proposed by the Haryana Government and Rs 103.83 crore was approved. An amount of Rs 12.98 crore had been released by the Central government so far for revamping of sewerage system and sewerage treatment works in Faridabad.
