Bangalore International Airport will not face Glasgow like attack
Bangalore, July 12 (UNI) The greenfield Bangalore International Airport will not face any threat of the Glasow Airport model of blazing vehicle hitting the terminal directly.
Coming up 30 km away from the city, the Airport had adopted a novel way of passengers alighting from the cars atleast 50 metres away from the Terminal entrance and located in a higher gradient.
Besides cars coming to drop passengers need to park in a 45 degree angle so that the baggage could be taken without any disturbance.
''The nature of the plan itself was such that the terminal will not be exposed to a Glasgow airport type terrorist attack,'' Bangalore International Airport Limited CEO Albert Brunner told newsmen at the airport site. It was not an after thought, but provided in the design itself, he added.
