Bangalore airport not to face threat similar to Glasgow
Bangalore, July 12 (UNI) The Greenfield Bangalore International Airport will not face any threat on the Glasgow Airport model of being hit by a blazing vehicle.
Coming up 30 km away from the city, the Airport had adopted a novel way for passenger alight, which was atleast 50 metres away from the Terminal entrance and located in a higher gradient.
Besides this, the cars coming to drop passengers need to be parked in a 45 degree angle to ensure that the baggages are unloaded without any hindrance.
''The plan itself was such that the terminal will not be exposed to a Glasgow airport type terrorist attack,'' Bangalore International Airport Limited CEO Albert Brunner told newspersons here.
