2 suspected lepto deaths in city
Mumbai, July 12 (UNI) At least two people have succumbed to suspected leptospirosis here in the city, taking the total number of deaths from monsoon-related diseases to twelve so far in the season.
Three others have died of fever at the KEM Hospital here. Among the two suspected leptospirosis deaths, one was reported from the KEM Hospital and another from Sushilaben Hospital, a private hospital.
The KEM Hospital reported the death of a female patient from suspected leptospirosis, while the other three, who died of fever, were male patients.
Seven patients, suspected to be suffering from leptospirosis, had been admitted to the Sushilaben Hospital, of whom one succumbed to the disease.
