1.6 billion dollar Japan-based Okuma to expand business in India
New Delhi, July 12 (UNI) Japan's machine tool manufacturing major Okuma Corporation is all set to enhance its presence in the country initially through opening sales and customer services office in capital and later in Pune, Bangalore and Chennai.
'' We expect three to four per cent of the current total 1.6 billion dollar from our India operations,'' said company President and Chief Executive Officer Yoshimaro Hanaki.
The company's strategy is to provide timely support to the booming automobile and motorcycle, construction and farm equipment, and the medical industries of India, he added.
The objective of the centre is to serve the local customers, share technology, and manufacturing know-how, and improve speed of response in customer support, Mr Hanaki said.
Okuma products are used in the autumotive, aerospace, construction, and farming equipment, oil and energy, medical, die/mold and fluid power industries.
