'World community should pressurise Pak to end terror': Venkaiah

New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu today appealed the international community to apply pressure on Pakistan to stop its support to cross border terrorism.

Mr Naidu is on a weeklong tour of United Kingdom interacting with the policy makers, MPs and other dignitaries who were interested in discussion on terrorism in view of the recent Glasgow terror attacks. They were told by Mr Naidu that the roots of world terrorism lied in Pakistan and the victim nations should pressurize Pakistan to stop it.

He also had discussions with the experts at International Institute for Strategic Studies, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Foreign and Commonwealth Office late last evening, besides taking part in discussions on the issue with Hindi and Urdu units of British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) at its headquarters.

He apprised the hosts of India's experience on the issue and how its neighbour was supporting cross boarder terrorism, a party release said.

He had interactions with Lord Dholokia, Vice Chair, All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for India and Mr Nigel Evans, Chair, Conservative Parliamentary Friends of India at a lunch hosted in his honour. He visited both the Houses of British Parliament and witnessed debates and the question time of the Prime Minister. He also had interactions with Foreign Affairs Minister from Conservative Party, Mr. Keoth Simpson and other MPs.
