Woman killed in Thane dist

Thane, July 11 (UNI) A 47-year-old housewife was brutally killed by some unidentified persons in her residence at Kharegaon, near Kalwa, in the district.

Police said unknown intruders entered the house at around 1030 hrs and attacked her with sharp weapons, killing her instantly.

According to reports, none of her family members were at home when the incident took place and the killer is said to be known to her.

However, the motive behind the murder is not yet known, police added.
