Training camp on quakeproof technology to begin tomorrow

Patna, July 11 (UNI) A five-day training camp on technologies related to construction of earthquake resistant buildings will begin here from tomorrow.

Bihar Disaster Management department secretary Manoj Srivastav today said the camp would be conducted under the joint auspices of National Disaster Management Authority, IIT-Mumbai and SERC-Chennai.

''The programme will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today. It will impart the technical knowledge to construct quakeproof building to the engineers and lower level technical staff,'' Mr Srivastav added.

The camp would conclude on July 16.
