Sugar prices ease on heavy stocks arrival

Navi Mumbai, July 11 (UNI) Sugar prices dwindled by Rs 15 per quintal today on heavy stocks supply and poor demand, traders at the wholesale sugar market said.

Sugar in small and medium grades dropped by Rs 10 and Rs 15 per quintal respectively on lack of fresh demand by bulk consumers.

Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades also fell by Rs five per quintal each on increase offers by stockists.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,316/1,390, Medium grade: Rs 1,385/1,501, Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,315/1,350, Medium grade: Rs 1,370/1,425.
