Rs 5 lakh looted from a businessman

Hajipur, Jul 11 (UNI) Armed criminals today looted Rs five lakhs from a businessman after injuring him near DAV school under Town police station area in Vaishali district.

Police said the criminals waylaid businessman Pappu Singh, while he was returning from his shop and opened fire on him before looting the cash.

The victim, who sustained multiple bullet injuries, had been admitted to a nearby hospital.

Raids were being carried out to nab the criminals and recover the looted cash from them, police added.
