RBI Gov congratulates Karunanidhi for best Fin management

Chennai, July 11 (UNI) Reserve Bank of India governor Y V Reddy today congratulated Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for the state's best financial management.

Mr Reddy, who called on the Chief Minister at the secretariat here, also expressed happiness over Tamil Nadu, being at top in credit deposit ratio, an official release here said.

Accepting Mr Karunanidhi's plea, Mr Reddy said the RBI would soon issue orders for setting up Regional Rural Banks in all district headquarters in the state.

The Chief Minister wanted RBI to continue the steps being taken to check price rise, the release added.
