No law says wages should be raised every 5 years: Khobragade
Mumbai, July 11 (UNI) BEST general manager Uttam Khobragade has said the wages of the employees of the undertaking cannot be raised every five years.
''There is no law that says that the wages of BEST workers should be increased every five years,'' Mr Khobragade said while talking to reporters here today.
Mr Khobragade is pitched in a bitter battle against BEST union leader Sharad Rao over wage demands. Mr Rao is demanding an increase in the salary of the workers, while Mr Khobragade maintains this is not mandatory under the law.
