Maoist women wing chief arrested soon after release
Rourkela, July 11 (UNI) Maoist women wing chief and Central Committee member Sobha, alias Budhini Maranmdi, and two others were arrested by the Jharkhand police soon after their release from the Rourkela special sub-jail here today.
Sobha was arrested by the Rourkela police along with two others and produced before a local court on June 8 last year under various sections of the IPC. The court sent the three to judicial custody.
Later Sobha moved Orissa High Court which directed the lower court to hear their regular bail plea and accordingly the Additional District Judge of Fast Track Court, after hearing the case, granted bail with local surety of Rs 50,000.
The special sub-jail authority, which received the court order last night, released the Maoist women wing chief and two others identified as Ranjan and Bijaya.
But they were soon taken into custody by a Jharkhand police team camping in the steel city since last one week. Sources said Sobha and the other two were wanted in connection with the Valiva attack in which nearly 32 police personnel were killed by the left wing ultras.
