Love finds wings as groom descends from skies on D-Day
Alwar, July 11 (UNI) In came the groom riding on a chopper to walk his bride down the aisle.
It was no fantasy or a pipedream but a scene right from real life.
Twenty-three-year bridegroom Iqbal of Pattan village in Haryana came on a helicopter seeking the hand of his bride Ruksana.
The hi-fi marriage was the talk of the town in Jajor Bass village about 17 km from Alwar town today.
Iqbal's marriage was arranged with Ruksana daughter of Shamsher, a farmer of Jajore Bass village in Alwar today. But the bridegroom insisted on flying in a helicopter to the marriage venue than going in a car. Finally the family of bridegroom hired a helicopter from a private company in Delhi.
The bridegroom along with his four friends descended as his helicopter landed on a make shift airstrip in the village.
The 'baratis' reached the marriage venue by road.
A large number of onlookers gathered at the helipad as the helicopter landed in the village to see the 'high-flying' bridegroom.
Mewat Vikas Board president and former minister Nehru Khan was also present in the marriage.
