Lok Satta to contest next Assembly polls
Hyderabad, July 11 (UNI) The Lok Satta, which has been spearheading a movement against criminalisation of politics and corruption in public life, will contest all the seats in the next Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh with a resolve to change the present political culture.
Talking to newspersons here today, its founder Jayaprakash Narayan said his party wanted to treat Andhra Pradesh as a stepping stone for ushering in a new political culture in the country.
Ruling out any electoral understanding with the present set of political parties, he said his party might align with like-minded parties, keen on ending money power and muscle power in politics.
The party would give preference to women and youth in the allocation of party tickets, he added.
