Investigation report against JD(U) MLA within two days

Bagha, July 11 (UNI) The Bihar CID has completed its investigation against sitting JD(U) MLA from Bagaha and former minister Purnamasi Ram, facing charges of assulting a CPI(ML) leader, and is expected to submit its report within two days.

CID Inspector General(IG) Ashok Kumar Gupta today said investigation in most of the cases related to Mr Ram had been completed while statements of more than 50 witnesses were recorded during this period.

'' The report would be submitted to state DGP Ashish Ranjan Sinha within a couple of days '', Mr Gupta informed.

In 2002 Mr Ram had brutally assaulted CPI(ML) leader Dayanand Dewadi. A chargesheet in this case was filed on the order of district police superintendent Vikas Vaibhav.
