Infosys denies rumour on acquisition of Cap Gemini

Bangalore, July 11 (UNI) Indian software major Infosys today denied takeover of French IT consulting firm Cap Gemini and brushed reports to this effect as rumours.

Talking to newsmen at the announcement of the first quarter results of the company, Infosys CEO and Managing Director S Gopalakrishnan said ''we cannot comment on rumours''.

Stating that Infosys was keen on acquisitions, he said it was open for companies both within the country and outside.

Replying to a question he said that subsidiary Infosys Consulting would continue to be in red for th next three to four quarters as it was still in investment mode. The loss had come down substantially from 10 million dollars to one million dollars, he added.
