HC dismisses writ petitions of BIS Chahal

Chandigarh, July 11 (UNI) Punjab and Haryana High Court Division Bench today dismissed the writ petition of B I S Chahal, ex-media Advisor to former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, who had sought among other, the directions to authorities concerned to give him a notice of one week, if he was to be arrested or questioned in connection with any future case.

The Division Bench of Justice P Sathasivam and Justice Rajive Bhalla also rejected Chahal's prayer for entrusting cases against him to CBI for investigation and to quash the seizure of his bank accounts, lockers etc.

''No case had been made out for such directions at this stage'', the Bench observed.
