Haryana earmarks Rs 100 cr for model villages
Chandigarh, July 11 (UNI) The Haryana Government has earmarked a sum of Rs 100 crore for the current financial year for the development of model villages in a phased manner in the state.
As many as 71 villages have been declared model villages in the state so far, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharambir Singh said.
A total amount of Rs 284.8 crore would be incurred on the development of these model villages in a phased manner.
He said the development works of 34 villages costing Rs 134 crore had been transferred to Haryana Agriculture Marketing Board from Panchayat Department.
Mr Dharambir Singh said the government had provided administrative approval amounting to Rs 88.56 crore, for the development of 23 villages and out of this, a sum of Rs 31.89 crore had been released.
