Elephant panic in Durgapur Jessop company
Durgapur, Jul 11 (UNI) Panic gripped Jessop company employees here when an elephant from a nearby jungle lost its way and entered the company premises this evening.
''The tusker from the adjoining Sonamukhi jungle in Bankura district might have lost its way and after crossing the Damodar river found its way to Jessop company,'' said Forest department official Kumar Bimal.
He said, ''We are keeping a close watch on the pachyderm and once the night falls, the animal would be traquilised and brought back to the jungle.'' However, no casualty had been reported.
