Court asks police to register murder case against DM, SP

Ganganagar, July 11 (UNI) A lower court here has directed the police to book the then district collector and SP of Ganganagar under murder charges for the death of a person during the farmers agitation in the district last year.

The civil court I Judicial Magistrate, Gharsana, Rajesh Kumar issued the order on a complaint by the father of diceased Chanduram Saran, who succumbed to injures in the police action during the farmers' agitation.

The court said the then district collector Kunjilal Meena, SP Vinita Thakur and nine other senior officials be booked under the charge of murder.
