CBI announces reward for information leads to arrest Tapashi killers
Kolkata, July 11 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today announced reward of Rs one lakh for anyone providing information about the four suspects allegedly involved in the Tapashi Malik murder case.
On the basis of interrogation of Debu Malik, the prime accused, the CBI engaged portray experts to come out with sketches of the four people, who were said to be involved in the crime that took place at Singur on December 18 last year.
The sketches would be put out at every public place at Singur, the CBI sources said.
Debu Malik informed the investigating officers that of the four, two were Hindi speaking people.
On the basis of his infomation the CBI has so far arrested the Singur Zonal Committee Secretary of the CPI(M) Shurid Dutta and interrogated altogether 19 people.
The chrred body of the 18-year old Tapashi Malik was found inside the project area of Tata Motors small car factory.
Trinamool Congress and the victim's relatives alleged that the girl, who a was member of Krishi Jami Rakhsha Committee, spearheading the anti-land acquisition movement, had been raped and murdered by CPI(M) men.
