BEST to undertake prepaid coupons for commuters

Mumbai, July 11 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking will soon introduce prepaid coupons, like in local trains, for the commuters in order to end the coin change hassle and to get some advance money for the undertaking.

Speaking to reporters here today, BEST General Manager Uttam Khobragade said ''More than 4.5 lakh passes have been issued by the BEST, and with the prepaid coupon, the BEST will get additional advance money and arguments between conductors and the commuters will end in the buses.'' This is part of the BEST undertaking's plans to increase revenue, along with installing CCTV's, LCD screens and grab handles with advertisements inside the buses.
