Aptech ties up with Indian Bank

Chennai, July 11 (UNI) Leading IT education provider Aptech Limited today announced a tie-up with Indian Bank to offer educational loans to economically weaker students, to pursue various courses in the field of IT and Animation.

Talking to newspersons here, Aptech CEO and Managing Director Pramod Khera said ''many a dream and aspiration of bright and deserving candidates remained unfulfilled for want of finances and Indian Bank would now be with us to offer education loans to students of Aptech''.

''Through this tie-up, it is our endeavour to reach IT and Animation training to candidates, who have the potential and aspiration but do not have the means'', Mr Pramod said adding ''this loan scheme will go a long way in promoting young talent and give them a platform to get the best training with Aptech and fulfilling career thereafter in various leading IT companies''.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding(MoU), a student would be able to get 90 per cent finance for the course fee and can start repaying the principal only after completing the course of six months or getting employment.

Indian Bank Chairman and Managing Director M S Sundara Rajan said ''our banks are always willing to associate themselves with the concept of empowering people with knowledge and hence the scheme of educational loans''.

''Besides providing educational loans for the academics, which is the bank's forte, Indian Bank is happy to associate with Aptech to finance vocational knowledge-based courses'', Mr Rajan said adding ''this will enable the youngsters to acquire the skills and go for higher occupations''.

According to him, the bank would charge 12.5 per cent interest for all educational loans, which he claims was the lowest among the banks in the country.
