Agilent to reward best engineers on July 13

New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) With an objective to recognise and encourage hands-on engineering in the country, Agilent Technologies is organising 'Agilent Engineering and Technology Awards 2007' on July 13.

One of the world leaders in test and measurement instruments, through this award, the company wants to reward talent in the field of engineering and build competence in research and development for students with an emphasis on future technologies.

This nationwide competition was commenced in January 2007 and saw participation from 50 leading colleges in the country including IITs, BITS, NITs, DCE and COE Pune among others.

After six months of screening and evaluation, eight finalists (both B Tech and the M Tech students) have been selected from the field of Electronics and Communications Engineering or Life Sciences, or Chemical Engineering.

The final round of the selection process would be held here on the day, where all the short-listed students would participate and showcase their respective projects before the independent jury comprising of leading scientists, engineers and technocrats of national and international repute.
