52-year-old falls from overcrowded Blueline, critically injured

New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) Bluelines continued to play havoc on Delhi roads with a 52-year-old man getting critically injured this morning after falling from a bus near Inter-State Bus Terminus in North Delhi.

R K Pandey (52), a teacher, received severe head injuries after falling from a overcrowded Blueline bus near ISBT, said a senior police official.

He was admitted to the St Stephen's Hospital in a serious condition.

The driver of the bus, plying on route no 221 -- Anand Vihar to Mori Gate, is absconding.

In the second incident this morning a teenager was injured after being hit by a speeding Blueline in Hari Nagar area of West Delhi, according to the police.

The boy, who is yet to be identified, was hanging from a DTC bus when the Blueline, which was trying to overtake it, hit the teenager.

He has been admitted to the Deen Dayal Upadhayay Hospital.

No one has been arrested so far, police added.
