12-hour bandh called against Delimitation Commission

Itanagar, July 11 (UNI) Papum Pare Delimitation Demand Committee (PPDDC) today called a 12-hour Capital Complex bandh tomorrow, against the Delimitation Commission draft working paper in Papum Pare district.

PPDDC, in a meeting held here yesterday,attended by cross-section of the people, including public leaders and party representatives, took this unanimous decision supporting that Itanagar rural part should remain with Itanagar assembly constituency(AC) and Naharlagun rural part with Naharlagun AC instead of their bifurcation, said its chairman Techi Necha.

The media, ambulances, medical vans, hospitals, pharmacies, paramilitary forces, magistrate on duty would be exempted from the purview of the bandh.

An eight-member delegation headed by him would go to Delhi to file its written petition with the Commission, Necha said.
