Woman strangulates daughter, commits suicide

Mumbai, July 10 (UNI) A 23-year-old woman allegedly strangulated her three-year-old daughter to death and later committed suicide herself at Meghwadi in Jogeshwari near here.

Police said Sangita Kale strangulated her daughter Tristi yesterday and then hung herself from the ceiling of the room.

The woman's husband is a constable attached with Arms department of Mumbai police at Worli, the police said here today.

The reason behind the woman's action is yet to be ascertained, police added.
