Woman murder case detected
Vijayawada, July 10 (UNI) The mystery in the murder of a 35-year-old woman in a private lodge here on July four was detected by the special police teams, City Police Commissioner C V Anand said here this evening.
Talking to newspersons here, he said the woman Bhuvana, hailing from Mattur village in Tamil Nadu was allegedly murdered by her husband K Srinivasulu.
Based on a complaint lodged by the lodge owner on the following day, a police team rushed to the spot and found the naked body of the woman in the bathroom of a room in a sitting posture, with head buried in a bucket filled with water.
Mr Anand said Srinivasulu and Bhuvana used to quarrel frequently after the latter asked him to repay Rs two lakh borrowed from the money-lenders.
He said as the pressure mounted from the money-lenders, Srinivasulu, hatched a plan to finish her off, brought her to the city and committed the crime.
Efforts were on to trace the accused, he added.
