Woman commits suicide after killing 2 children

Allahabad, July 10 (UNI) A woman, after killing her two minor children, committed suicide in Tharwai area here today.

The incident occurred at Narainpur village, where Priyanka Tiwari doused her five-year-old child Rishi and an eight-month-old infant Hrishikesh with kerosene and set them on fire.

While Rishi died on the spot, Priyanka and Hrishikesh were rushed to S R N hospital in a serious condition, where they succumbed.

Priyanka had an heated exchange of words with her husband after the latter came to know of her illicit relationship with a man.

The woman took the extreme step in a fist of anger, police said.

Bodies had been sent for postmortem.
