Take steps to announce film awards: film producers

Kozhikode, July 10 (UNI) Federation of International Film Producers (FIAPF) Vice President P V Gangadharan today urged the Central government to take immediate steps to announce 53rd National Film Awards.

In a letter addressed to Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Pryaranjan Das Munsi, he said the awards for the films produced during 2005 and schedueld to be announced in 2006 was delayed due to a court litigation.

As a result awards for the subsequent years were also delayed further causing uncertainity in the industry, he said while seeking his personal intervention to resolve the crisis.
