Suspect Maoists produced in Local court
Purulia, July 10 (UNI): A young tribal girl, Rebeka Murmu of Simandih, who was arrested on July 4 as suspect Maoist, was produced before a local court here today.
Purulia court's Chief Judicial Magistrate Anand Kumar Tewari gave her another 24 hours time allowing her to give a thought of giving a secret statement or not. Earlier, she was on six days police remand since July 4.
Meanwhile, suspect Maoist Iswar Mahato of Srimanpur in Bagmundi of Purulia arrested last night was produced in the Purulia court today.
He was remanded to five days police custody.
He is a susepect in the attack of CPI-M leaders Manjur Khan and Gobardhan Majhi at Balarampur last month.
